Parents blocked from schools over Ebola

Damali Mukhaye | October 5, 2022

The Ministry of Education has issued stringent guidelines, blocking parents from visiting their children at school due to the Ebola outbreak in the country.

According to the guidelines, school heads have been ordered to permit only essential visits.

The Ministry of education has also instructed schools transporting learners in buses to ensure that each is assigned one seat per row and desist from overcrowding learners in one van.

According to the ministry, schools shall remain open as long as these guidelines are implemented effectively.

According to the health ministry, a total of nine people have died out of the 43 confirmed cases since the outbreak was announced.
